Progressive topline thickness starting thin in short irons to thicker in long irons promotes confidence at address throughout the set. The precise centre of gravity weight port ensures that the centre of gravity stays in the middle of the face. In the past, clubmakers have installed weights in the hosel to adjust swing weight and have pulled the centre of gravity closer to the heel, resulting in irons having consistent swing weight but inconsistent centre of gravity. Precision centre of gravity placements, ultra-thin faces, a tour sole design and Inverted cone technology make the R11 TaylorMade’s most powerful, playable and refined iron ever for mid-high handicappers.

Ultra-thin face thicknesses promote faster ball speed and distance in the R11 long- and middle-irons. The multi-functional sole is beveled at the back to make it perform like a much thinner sole which increases playability from a variety of lies. Yet it also features a low and deeper centre of gravity that makes it easier to launch the ball on powerful and penetrating flights.

The Inverted cone technology also promotes faster ball speed and distance on off-centre hits. A weight port permanently positioned in the centre of the back of the iron head ensures that each R11 iron is of uniform swing weight and ensures that the centre of gravity is precisely and optimally positioned in the centre of the face between toe and heel, while advanced groove design promotes increased spin and control.
